Hello, and thank you for stopping by! I attribute much of my exploration desire (need, really) to receiving National Geographic magazines as a child. Every story and photo inspired an urge to experience these different realities for myself.

While balancing college classes and working full-time, I came across a specialized program for “Travel Careers”. As far as I had traveled at the time was Mexico and Canada, but exploring and learning about the world was always a priority, and taking courses geared toward a specific career path was appealing.

In 2006, I entered the industry as a travel agent. But, before starting the job, I hopped on a plane for my first overseas trip – a solo backpacking tour of some European highlights. It was four weeks of valuable travel lessons, enriching experiences, and reassurance I was on the right path. Traveling was mind-opening and potentially life-altering, and I wanted to share it with others, inspiring growth in perspective.

I spent a handful of years as an international travel agent, then later worked for two leading adventure travel companies that focus on off-the-beaten-path destinations. Throughout the years, I’ve helped create and coordinate travel programs for National Geographic Adventures, New York Times Journeys, and various academic alumni programs for top universities. It’s been an honor helping arrange hundreds of immersive and humbling experiences for fellow intrepid and curious explorers, especially to destinations not often shown in a positive light.

Working in the travel industry, all travel only helps perfect the expertise and craft. I am endlessly grateful for the opportunities my career path has allowed, but also consider every trip I’ve done to be a value to my clients, family and friends – my goal is to learn and inspire.
